Through the partnership, Fremantle strengthens its position within the rapidly changing media landscape. AMANT focuses on producing productions with a strong focus on (workplace) reality and human interest. In addition, AMANT has a strong eye for young talent and is therefore a place where young creators get a chance to learn and grow.
Jeroen Compeer and Sabine Feij are no strangers to the media world. Both have a huge track record in various genres. Both Jeroen and Sabine began their careers at various production houses where they focused on more fact-driven formats and talk shows. They previously worked as editors, reporters and chief editors for programs such as Jinek, Keuringsdienst van Waarde, Vijf jaar later, Expeditie Robinson and Love in the Wild, among others.
At EndemolShine Netherlands, they served as editor-in-chief and delegated producer responsible for reality shows including Lego Masters, Holland’s Next Top Model, Big Brother, Staatsloterij Puur Geluk and the Heir. In 2021, Sabine and Jeroen both became responsible for Dutch unscripted titles at respectively HBO Max and Prime Video.
Georgette Schlick, CEO Fremantle Northern Europe: “When we heard that Jeroen and Sabine intended to start a new production company together, we immediately entered into conversation. Both have a lot of experience, a good reputation and an extensive network of both experienced and young creators. In addition, they have a keen eye for successfully reintroducing already existing format titles. With a catalog like Fremantle’s, that offers tremendous prospects. Fremantle therefore sees in AMANT a partner with a complementary scope. We are greatly looking forward to this cooperation.
Sabine Feij and Jeroen Compeer, founders of AMANT, on the partnership: “From the first conversation with Fremantle, it felt like a strong match. Now that we have officially joined forces, it gives us even more clout to grow AMANT and we can start creating more unique and impactful stories as a result.”
